Concept Note

The Centre for Media Education Research and Training (C-MERT) under School of Journalism and Mass Communication (SJMC) aims to facilitate media oriented environment and to train the future journalist, communications personnel and their creative innovations. It will also promote the growth and involvement of an individual as a communication practitioner to educate and enlighten the community. It will create a pool of highly talented individuals ready to unveil new dimensions of marketing communications. Armed with innovative strategies and a comprehensive understanding of consumer behavior these communication practitioners have the promise to bring about a Marcom revolution. The centre is managed by faculties of Marketing and Mass Communications and the seats are open to students who have specialised in Marketing as well as Media Communications.

Message From Center Head

C-MERT will promote quality education for the communication and Media industry with skill based training blending with industry endorsed course curriculum to enhance the growth in the changing market scenario. The fundamental aspects of the centre would be to promote the culture of divergent thinking with innovations for utilising the resources available for meeting the expectations of our stakeholders. Fortified with a broad horizon of innovations it would be imperative to nurture the talents for meeting the global standards and spread the thought of Being and Becoming for our society
